Founding Partner, Holwell Shuster & Goldberg
Daniel Goldberg, partner and co-founder of New York-based litigation boutique Holwell Shuster & Goldberg, has litigated high-stakes commercial disputes for nearly 25 years in a trial practice of national and international scope. He is frequently called upon to parachute into commercial cases for purposes of trial or other critical phases, and to take on matters presenting particularly novel and difficult issues. He currently represents, for example, Alberta’s government-owned investment fund AIMCo in a series of cases against insurers arising out of improper cost of insurance rate increases on certain groups of universal life insurance policies. He also is called on regularly to represent foreign sovereigns and domestic state entities in financial and other high-impact disputes.
He was recently named one of 30 Litigation Trailblazers by The National Law Journal, and has been recognized as a top litigator by Benchmark Litigation for several years. Before co-founding HSG, he was a litigation partner at White & Case and then at Kasowitz, Benson.
